Little Scholars is a preschool. We offer a two year free preschool place for children eligible for the ECCE scheme (38 weeks). Children must reach the age of 2 years and 8 months before the 01^st of September. Children of preschool age that are just outside the ECCE eligibility can avail of a private paid place if they meet the admission criteria.
We have extended hours available for all children. For eligible children, their free 3 ECCE hours can be used during these extended hours and further discounts are also available through the National Childcare Scheme (NCS) if granted.

Please complete the below form or call us on 0857654703 to express your interest in registering your child with us. We will then discuss your needs and availability and, if required, we will provide you access to a secure online area to register your child and pay a deposit. If we have already confirmed that you can register and you wish to complete the registration form you can do so by going to the ONLINE REGISTRATION page.

There are various sessions to avail of to suit your needs, we offer:

Full Time: 8am-3pm
Full Time Shorter: 8.30am-2.30pm
Part Time: 9am-2pm
Part Time Shorter : 9am-1pm
ECCE (Non-ECCE welcome from 2yrs and 7 months): 9am-12noon

CHILDCARE SCHEMES

All sessions can avail of discounted fees through the ECCE scheme (3 free hours) and NCS scheme, where eligible.

For example – A child can be in 9-2pm and if eligible for the ECCE scheme, 3 hours will be provided for free leaving 2 hours to be paid by the parent / guardian. These 2 hours can also be discounted for those granted funding via the NCS scheme.

We are fully committed to being guided by the principles of Síolta and the National Curriculum Framework Aistear. We recognise how important high quality early childhood experience can be in children’s lives.

It is the policy of this service to recruit and select the best candidate for any vacant position within our service. All our staff are qualified, and their qualifications are on display.

FREE PRESCHOOL PLACES

The ECCE Scheme allows for two years of FREE pre-school, it was announced by the government in April 2009 and was introduced in January 2010. Parents are able to avail of this ECCE scheme for eligible children on a 38 week per year basis.
